PART THREE Top 20 Eats in New York City

Yaffa Café
97 St Mark’s Place
New York, NY

Late night early morning eating after a super late night of clubbing – this was the place to go for some of the best chicken ever.   We would always go to the Berber Chicken plates.  Absolutely the most amazing food ever – especially when you are so drunk that the only thing you are thinking of is the taste of the chicken and the awesome orange drink.

Katz’s Deli
205 East Houston
New York NY

Cliché I know but still this is not only a NYC landmark but one of the absolute best sandwiches you can find anywhere in the city.  Holy cow the Matzo Ball Soup is legendary and the Knish hasn’t been better.  But the hardest choice is between the Pastrami and the Corned Beef sandwiches.  I look forward to this little gem as well.

The Carnegie Deli
854 7th Avenue
at 55th Street
New York NY

I truly love that Vegas tried to take the Carnegie Deli – problem is – Vegas isn’t NYC.  It can’t have the people.  There is something to be said for this deli.  You can see just about anyone for any reason on any given day.  Believe it or not though – it isn’t the sandwiches that interest me but the Pastrami Hash.  YUMMY!!!!

H & H Bagels
639 West46th Street
New York, NY

I’m sure this goes without saying – that I am a sucker for bagels.  My bosses would always send out for a bagel platter from H&H every Friday morning as a huge thank you to us for the work we put in the other 4 days of the week.  But the ooey gooey softness inside with that crusty outside generously shmeared with cream cheese, onions and lox would take anyone’s breath away.

Peanut Butter & Co
240 Sullivan Street
New York, NY

There is nothing like the Peanut Butter Cup sandwich.  Regardless of the fact that anyone can make themselves a PB&J sandwich at home – this is even better.  Where else in the world can you find someplace that you can get a PB&bacon sandwich without being given the evil grossed out look?
