College or Hooker Fashion Show at UNLV

I’m not usually too noticed while I sit calmly in my classes at good ole UNLV. Maybe that is a symbol of where I stand in this world. Perhaps it is more a statement. I am here to get an education. To better myself and to learn. To be the one that will succeed in my family. You see my family is full of losers. People who spent time in jail, in debt, unemployed more often than employed and in the end were deemed nothing more than societal losers.

So in the long run when I see young people in their 20s walking around campus wearing black sequined booty shorts, knee high hooker boots and a sweatshirt falling off one shoulder with no bra – it will drive me insane. WHY???? What are you doing in a college learning environment like this? If you are sleeping your way through college – you are wasting your money. You don’t need an education to be able to lay on your back and take it like a whore. Any woman is able to do that. But then again as long as you are a business major you should be learning exactly what the males in the corporate world expect of you when you give it all up….

I am disgusted by the fact that college at Rutgers U in New Brunswick was NOT full of “girls” dressed like hookers. They knew that they were there for a purpose. But here in Vegas the purpose of college is to show your goodies to the other students. I have seen more than 75 “girls” in the past 3 days walking in ultra short shorts, skirts and dresses and HEELS. HEELS???? Obviously not one of those who are here to get an education by putting in the hard ass work and walk a lot.

As I was leaving my Intermediate Spanish class this afternoon, it was unbelievable what I saw. There was a typical WHITE FRAT BOY walking with a very very skinny Asian girl wearing a short black skirt, black stilettos, a strange shirt which hung very loosely from her boney upper body partially exposing too much of her upper half and what I found SOOOOOO odd was the platinum blonde teased mass of hair that sat on top of her head. What you may say is the problem? It was the boy’s behavior towards this girl, as if he was in possession of a hot commodity that I should be wanting because I have short hair and a more masculine attire while I attend classes.

Points behind my attire while I trek UNLV Campus 4 days a week

* Protection from criminals – the less appealing I look the less they will be drawn to me.

* Comfort – why the hell would I want to attend UNLV in skirts and heels – knowing that this city is a small version of hell on earth with the heat we endure for several months out of the year.

* Concentration – if I were not focused on my education but rather being noticed I would dress in my nice clothing not my comfortable clothing.

Whatever though perhaps I am just too set in my ways of what I think college is supposed to be…
